Side Skirt Scratch Repair

Anyone ever done it? I just noticed that there is a significant scratch on the lowest part of the the passenger side skirt (facing out, perpendicular to the road).

It's not too big of a deal but I will be going to replace the rear skirt (damaged during transport) soon and was wondering if anyone has had any experience fixing a scratch like this - the shop will have the paint already. There is a more minor one on the driver side.

I think they must have been there when I bought the car because I am not sure how I would have damaged that area but unfortunately I noticed them now. Other option would of course be to try and forget about it.

Any advice?

It's hard to make out in these pics but I tried.

I just figured the shop could take care of them - but as with everything at the body shop its much more expensive than you would think. Has anyone ever fixed this?

Use paint cleaning compound and see if you can rub it off, maybe the scratches are not that deep. If not, just get yourself one of those paint pens (from dealer or paint shop) and just fill it in, then buff... I don't think it's worth the $$ for a paint shop to redo it over. It's really a 15 min job.

If you want to do it professionally, get spray cans matched to your Sapphire Black paint code, and a can of clear coat. Sand that area with 300 grit, then 600, then spray on the base coat, then 2 layers of clear. Should restore your skirt...
